This Thing Called Life

How confusing this thing called life

Does anyone understand it?

Not one bit

Those who preach about healthful living

Are living a lie

How confusing this thing called life

I sure as hell dont understand it

People expect me to know life

Im expected to know what to do with my life

I should have it mapped out already

Every last detail finalized

I cant do it

How confusing this thing called life

It will kick you and beat you

It will hold you down and make you drown

It will make you suffer and hate it

Life is a curse

How confusing this thing called life

Im not allowed to control my own

I must follow the rules of the people who have ruined mine

I cannot be my own person

I am stuck here

How confusing this thing called life

It has worn me out

It has torn me down

I dont know if I have hope for it anymore
