This thing called love
Because I love you doesn’t mean I have to be woken up by your fists .
You say it is love but my bruises don’t shine pink like I’m blushing they turn purple and blue.
My smile doesn’t shine anymore.
I feel as if the big gaps in my mouth remind of the times I said the word stop.
Because I love you is supposed to mean you raise your hands when your with me in order to catch me when I’m falling.
You show me how much you love me by sending me random texts during the day asking how I am doing not who am I texting
Because I love you means everything to me not just an apology when you “accidentally” hit me
