things change

As a kid I was asked what my dream job would be.

I thought lawyer, astronaut, or doctor maybe.

But now as an adult, I see things differently

I want to be a person who does things consistently.

I want to help others and make a difference,

But most of all I want to work with children.

I want to give them all the skills needed

So that they can grow up and be lawyers, astronauts, and doctors,

Or painters, singers, and actors.

At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what they choose to be

As long as I get to be the person to support them unconditionally.

Teaching is my dream job

Teaching is my goal

And I can’t wait to start calling roll.
