The Things I Carry

I carry the information superhighway in my pocket.

Sustaining my addiction to Facebook

Keeping me in the "loop."

Doodles and drawings of everything, everywhere, marking my territory.

Whales, people with abnormally large mouths and long wavy arms.

I carry two pairs of headphones.

A simple act of being prepares

Constantly having a temporary escape from my surroundings.

I carry 8 gigs.

Full progress, master pieces, and half asses reader responses.

I'm a professional procrastinator.

I carry an open mind on my shoulders and an open heart on my sleeve.

With the ability to see things from mountain tops, or down low in the valley.

Perspective.

I carry a dream catcher

To filter all the bad vibes, converting them into beautiful ones.

It has its own little way of reminding me that everything will be okay.

I carry a multitude of delightful goodies

Tasty snacks to conquer my hunger

Junk food to shield my nervousness.

I carry a journal,

Jammed full of incosistent daily entries, rambling, notes from class, and love letters.

Concert tickets from Atmosphere, Blink 182, and Kid Cudi.

Post Cards from Orlando and Alaska.

As many tangible memories as possible

For fear that the intangible will slip the mind without noticing.

I carry 104 lbs, full of laughter, happiness, and adventure.

Nothing can stop me.
