The Things I Do Because I Love You

You let me do these things to you,

You let me build you up just to break you down,

You believe anything I say to you,

All because I say "I Love You,"

I hate to break it to you dear,

I do not love you, not at all,

I use those words to get you to stay,

I use those words because I know you will always believe them,

I am a bad person,

I have hurt you countless times,

But you let me "Because I Love You,"

My dear you let me destroy you,

You let me ruin your cofidence,

You let me rip your heart to shreds,

Because I Love You,

This is not love,

Not even close,

But you are never going to walk away as long as I countine to say "I love you,"

My dear I do these things to you because I do not love you,

I do not love you and I have not for years,

You stay with me because "I Love You,"

This is the oppopsitie of love,

This is hate,

My dear I do not love you,

Not one bit,

You must understand now,

My dear you must go,

This is not love,

This is hate,

I am telling you how I feel now,

This is unhealthy,

This is me letting go of the past,

Of what we once were,

This is not love,

This is hate,

No longer will you hear the excuse "Because I Love You,"

Goodbye my dear.
