Things I'll Never Say

The things I'll never say are sometimes

rude, fragile, and fray.

Although they are the things I want express

I don't want to have to clean up the mess.

So here are some things I want to tell you,

hopefully, just hopefully, I won't lose my personal values.

I'm weak, scared, and numb.

Yet those around haven't realized I've stopped

marching to the beat of my own drum.

The drum that I loved no longer makes a sound,

and I just want someone to return the rythym found.

It was a warm spring evening

that made me break and consider leaving.

The house shattered me to bits,

with the constant screaming fits.

I couldn't handle this,

but I was told to hold on to this.

You said it was only for a few months more,

but I was still trapped storm after storm.

The storm raged on, turning into a hurricane,

while I huddled in the corner hoping my savior saw and came.

He came and pulled me out,

it was like rain after a drought.

But after awhile the water runs dry,

telling me it was I who poisoned it and I'm left in the sun to fry.

I tried to persevere,

but I was over come by fear.

I went back to the storm,

odly this time it kept me warm.

The storm was the only thing I was use to,

a never ending cycle of me vs you.

But it was you who broke my drum,

the reason I lost the beat.

The reason I have two left feet,

instead of marching left, right, left, right,

into this fight called life.

I want my rythym back,

before my soul turns completely black.
