The Things That Matter

Tell me what i can do for you

Not when our next assignment's due

Tell us what we can do for other's

So we can help our fellow brother's

Tell yourself how you can bring knowledge to life

So that we can end the world's constant strife

Life is more than a grade, so tell us the things that matter

Help every struggling grade to climb the educational ladder

Teach us about the taxes, checks, and credit

And make the lesson stick so we dont forget it

Teach us why people suffer every day

And why we tend to ignore them anyway

Teach us how to better our own lives

And how to see through the government's lies

Most importantly, Teach us about peace and love

How to prevent the Great Floods, and release more Doves
