The things they say

They say

that insanity is repeating the same thing and expecting different results

that if you're crazy, they'll lock you away

and more

among other cliches

they say

that there is nothing wrong with you

while with that same mouth they pray

for you to become

normal

They say

that you don't need help from anyone

Anyone besides that prophet from the past

who they say

will fix you

They say

That you need to believe

Because you're obviously not believing hard enough

because you're still

not

normal

They say

that you will be

someday

Someday the prophet from the past will fix you

someday you'll become the perfect child you where supposed to be

They say

the doctors are liars

And the only real doctor

is the prophet from the past

because science

and technology

are things the prophet never had

so why should you have them

They say

you are perfect

if you where different

If you where less this and more that and more like

the perfect child you where meant to be

more like

the prophet from the past

They say

the prophet from the past loves you

the way you are

But that the prophet from the past

wants to change you

that the prophet from the past doesn't love who you are and what you do

but the prophet from the past loves you

they say

you need more faith

you need to be more understanding

you need the prophet from the past

they say

you hurt them

when you insist

on being yourself

because the prophet from the past

hates who you are

Screw the prophet from the past
