The Things We Did

When we first met you laughed for my simple mistake. We talked to each other over the summer and I got to know you. We hung out with each other at the park and talked the whole time. You wished me a happy birthday when I saw you. And I did the same for you. You asked me out to the movies. I declined. You hugged me and I enjoyed how it felt in your arms. We ate lunch together beforee everything was over. You wanted to get to know me but I wouldn't let you in. Instead you let me into your mind. I thought of you highly, but you changed in the end. You tolod about you felt towards me except me. I told you how I felt and you told me you weren't ready. I still waited for you but then you met her. I cared about you and all she wanted to do was escape her own emptiness. Now you've become an irritation that i want to get rid of. What happened to us was because of you not me. I have moved on and want nothing to do with you besides saying hi and bye. You held her the same way you held me in your arms.' You're the fool in the end because I was letting you. You've been shut uot forever all because you chose her instead of staying with me.
