Life has many obstacles,

But it’s what you choose to do

That makes you who you are.

I’ve changed so much over the years.

I went from a scared young girl

Who was scared of loud noises

To a girl who isn’t scared of them anymore.

That’s not to say that I don’t

Get startled by those loud noises

Because I do.

Everything in our life depends on perspective.

A person with a positive perspective

Can be unstoppable when they want something.

A person with a negative perspective

May get stopped by hardships.

Surround yourself with positive people.

If something does get hard,

Stop to find a way to solve the problem.

Don’t get mad and take it out on others.

I speak as one of those 

Who has been on the receiving end.

It’s not easy on us

And sometimes it hurts more.
