To Think (found poem)

Blotches of words stuck to my breath, limited for a time

My minds escape for its deep feelings
In it, beautiful lyricism or useless words you might find
A quite confusion in each little machine
To explore the ambiguous thing I speak of
And to discover the meaning behind what you heard
A strange thing which operates as nothing else in the world does
Precious... because!
The thoughts of man kind cannot be given a cost
These things only valuable to those who know the meaning
Answers never satisfied, when stopped asking the question
Seeming to the eye confusing
Obscure in its allusions
Disappointed because it baffles initial comprehension
The creators language is all metaphor with the ability to surprise
Lurking in the synapses of the brain
Placed in a rarefied position and a totally ignorable one all at once
So strange, so other.
A battle in the mind
Words fighting for space
Appearances of what is
Interactions with what might
Broken, beauty, ragged imagined appearance
An experience!
Every slight different set of connotations
Different imaginations
What is and what is not
What's known or forgot
Don't force definition on something that cannot
Enjoy the freedom that there is no prefect definition of the meaning of poetry
Because to lick the honey from its pages
To see the real and the virtual
Between the relationship of sound and sense
Off of this paper I wrote
To think... What is a poem?
