Think of Me

When you find yourself alone

with each sunset and break of dawn;

think of the arms that would have held you:

think of me.

When the moon is full and

the winter wind chills your heart;

think of the warmth you could have shared:

think of me.

When times are rough or life gets you down,

when you need a friend;

think of a soft shoulder you could have cried on:

think of me.

When you feel pain

of the body or the soul;

think of a soothing touch and understanding:

think of me.

When your life is bright, successful;

full of accomplishment and pride;

think of someone who always believed in you:

think of me.

When you realize your dreams

and achieve your goals,

think of someone who understood them:

think of me.

When you hear a laugh, or see a smile;

when you feel the rain upon your face;

think of the tears that didn’t have to be:

think of me.

When you find yourself alone each day,

watching life afar;

think of what could have been:

think of me.
