To think you know it all

Mark 1:17 New English Translation (NET Bible)

17 Jesus said to them, “Follow me, and I will turn you into fishers of people!”

Education

Give a man an education

and he thinks he knows it all

and then with determination

will prove that point as he falls.

Give a man an education

and he knows he thinks it all.

Driving others to frustration

feeling relieved as he falls.

Give a man an education

and teach him to walk by sight.

To show that what he is seeing

Is the thought that he is always right.

Give a man an illustration

and he becomes picture-wise.

To be remembered in adoration

all his life to his surprise.

Give a man a purpose for living

and he will shine in reasoning

and as the taking and the giving

he will weigh for the pleasing.
