Thinking: Sounds

Thinking of

sounds

that might come from

unturned pages,

closed doors,

empty bedsides,

and secrets locked away.

Can they scream as loud as I do?

Oh.

But then I think

what does it matter?

Because we don't

listen

for starved tears,

masked bruises,

or even broken promises.

So.

If noones listening,

it must mean they don't.
