How do I go on without you by my side

Without your smile, warmth and love from deep inside

My world has changed since the day you left

Our house is not a home but now just a place to rest

Your memory will live on deep within me, forever you will remain in my heart

Not a day goes by that is easy since we’ve been apart

I live for us both and for our dreams

I live a life that’s not all as it seems

My heart is broken and may never heal

But to have you with me for so many years was very real

I am so lucky for all the great time’s we have had

As I fight so hard not to be sad

I’m still working on how I will go on

Every day is a challenge but I’ll stay strong

One day I hope to understand

Because without you by my side life is not so grand
