Third Strike or Home Run

There is something missing between there and here Hope is not enough to cross the great divide Everything is riding on this Choosing whether to stand or run Having lost sight of the road Under darkness we fall Remembering that we’ve got to get back up Chilling atmosphere and for boding sound Holding onto what fear can’t take away Wishing for a single alley to escape As if we were children we’d run So far away from here Most of us are just so lost Only if we could be found Still we keep on wishing but don’t expect it to come true Turning our skies to grey from such a light blue Listen to me carefully You don’t have to be not blind to see Open your eyes a little wider now, Lasting through this fight determines your destiny Don’t give up because of reason when passion says go on People need something to believe in Everything else will soon be gone Okay so it’s not so easy Putting your heart on the line Leaves you vulnerable Everything worth fighting for isn’t simple And it can simply be lost Nothing comes without some heart ache Don’t turn it off There’s a lasting picture Holding a moment of your life At that time when you chose to stop or go on That single turning point is what shows who you are Infinite choices with infinite impact Says what you stand for or if you stand at all While others cower will you be strong How many others have fallen just to belong Everything comes down to this Notice it’s your greatest hit or biggest miss The trouble with not believing anything is How you always believe in something Entirety in its entirely is all up to you Take your moment take your shot Ready or if you’re not Our battle is one for life Up from the dust we rise Burning fire in our eyes Last shot to take this show Ephemeral acts have got to go Begin your life a new Envelope and destroy what’s haunting you Go out and win the fight All to take back your life Now it is time
