The Third Wheel

At times, I feel incredibly left out.

The frustration and anger make me shout:

"You like being the permanent third wheel?"

Being outgoing would be great, I feel.

Left out of the circle, shut out of the crowd.

Why can't I be like them, be loud and proud?

Sometimes, no matter what, I can't be social.

Why is this skill in life, talking, crucial?

Slowly, I've learned to not care what they think,

Although sometimes I still blush and turn pink.

Being obnoxious is never the key.

I know it's best to just be me, be me.

And therefore when I don't feel included,

I'm more okay with being secluded.
