The Thirst

My love asks me where you are today.

I cannot keep my mind off of you.

I love you also, I wish you would say.

She does not see us together as two.

I knew not of what love would make me do.

For love I choose poverty over fame.

My love for you makes me sick like the flu.

Our love is a game, I’m losing blame.

My heart you have sniped and shot with you aim.

I am here for you to take and love.

I need for your grace for my love to tame.

Embrace and hold me in your heavenly glove.

Your love I cannot try to sustain.

Your love is nothing but pain in my brain.
