The Thirst is Real
Slowly dying, I’m fading away
Chip after chip, mountains turn into grain
Questions I seek, some answers known, not all
Knowledge is power, but knowledge had cursed us all
The tree I seek, my thirst unquenched
Filled with excuses and logic but no common sense
Feel the breeze, it lies within the shade
In the branches I see the life
Beyond the tree I see the grave
My journey is short if the distance is long
But the answer to my destination is written in the stone
Tarnished and faded, tossed away by the sands of time
Its relevance is returned, when the waters flow with life
The journey will never end so long as I partake
But death marks those dehydrated of faith
