Thorn of a Rose
Hook X 1
Can you see the beauty in the thorn of a rose
Beauty drawn from the pain that I compose
The pain that is drawn from holding the rose real tight
Proves the passion that endures every night
So see the beauty as I hold you with my words
The thorn of a rose hardly hurts

What is normal, what can it be
When everyone is different, can't you C
They label me bipolar, but the devil is a lie
Cause for ALL of my sins Christ surely died
But for those around me who just do not have the faith
It is the thorn of the rose that I liberate
But I hold on tight
With the Lord's great might
To the stem of the rose
Though it pierces me so
In the name of LOVE I could not let go
Through the pain I sing

No fancy riddles
No complex rhymes
Just the face of my Father piercing through all time
I C so much of what could truly be
As I prune the thorns from the rose of eternity
Ahhhhhhhhh, the pain of calling Jesus name
The pain of change or the pain of staying the same
I, I chose the road less traveled by
And grabbed the rose with both hands though it made me cry
The Rose & the Thorn
So true love can be born

Eventually all these thorns will be gone
And we be able to sing our loving song
Based on friendship
So don't you fear
Cause Jesus Christ is truly near
He is the Gardner, why can't U C
He has plucked all the thorns up out of me
So use me as a pattern of true love
A written algorithm in the form of a Holy Dove
Maybe I am speaking the wrong frequency
Cause some people cannot C the beautiful God inside me
How GREAT He is, making me free, I always win
I am surrounded with family deep in Heaven
The first is the last and there is no Leaven
