Thorned Focus

Laying awake at night,

hoping that you just might,

get off my mind.

Even for a minute,

the freedom would be tribute,

to the prison of thought.

To know what we feel,

but to not know if we'll heal,

will pale all insult and trial.

With time I will make you mine,

we shall have our moment and shine,

but for now I mustn't lose track.
