To Those That Are Forgotten

Dear Forgotten Ones,

In the beginning,

I took you for granted.

In the beginning,

I hid you on a shelf.

You collected dust

In the back of my mind

For many a year.

Until, one day, I found you again.

You were being used

as a cornerstone for cobwebs.

I picked you up,

Blew off the dust,

And swept off the cobwebs.

I put pencil to paper,

Put fingers to keys,

And finally,

After all those years,

Admired your beauty.

Love,

The One That Remembered
