Those Eyes

There once was a girl, about seventeen,She was young, but not very free. She stayed home every night and cleaned for her mom,But before she went to bed, she dreamt about Tom.
As Tom was quite the all-star athlete,She could barely manage to stay up on two feet.He made her stop and stare in the halls,To the point where she would run into walls.
She hoped that he would someday notice her,But according to him, she was just a blur,She lived in fear, with her heart on her sleeve,Because later that night she'd return home and grieve.
Until one day, he bumped into her,Then he realized there was much to confer. He got up quickly and walked away, Though she had hoped he would've stayed.
The following day came,As he quickly shouted her name. And all the mean girls shot her a stare,Then turned their back to flip their hair.
He said, "I am the one to blame,I am full of sorrow and shame".I've never looked into those eyes so blue,I should've told you sooner, but I love you.
