Those Eyes

To this day, no one knew

what it was like to see you.

What they saw might have been a punk, scary and weird,

but I knew their was nothing to fear.

Under each eye, the makeup was clear,

attention to detail made her revered.

And with a squint of her eyes as sharp as a knife

I knew I would gladly give her my life.

Over time I'd see those eyes squint in pain,

due to what I don't know, but I wanted it to go away.

Only now, far to late, that I realize

that I was the source of the pain in those eyes.
