To those of the future who follow in my footsteps

To those of the future who follow in my footsteps,

I must express concern to those who seek to learn from what I have written; what I write is not commonly come-by and may put you in danger for all of your life. To read what has been written in such foreign idea is a curse for all who come near, often the simplest life is the safest, one that will not interfere with the complexities and mysteries of the nature of our universe and all others.

As my perhaps now famously noted work Kiravaene, is is said that “[there] is much in the universe, and beyond, that has yet to be revealed to us. Perhaps we will never know what lies beyond our reach, but that does not mean we should not hypothesize and list the possibilities beyond observation,” that is, until you find the consequences.

Upon the reading of Kiravaene you undertake new knowledge, not of what is, but instead what may be. This knowledge will cost you, not in some dark haunting manner but instead a psychological cost. That ability bestowed to see all that may be, all that can be learnt from observation, it is this that will strip you of your ability to be understood by others. You will be able to understand others, much more than anyone else can, but they will not return this.

Perhaps I should explain from the beginning?

Ever since I was born I was attuned to learn the nature of the universe; people from all around our community explained to my mother how great a priest I would be, a teacher of spirit and religion that would become perhaps one of the most influential of all. I did not take to this idea, however, as even though my close family was Episcopalian, religion was fading from my sight.

Instead I pursued science; I thought philosophy was made up to handle science in an immature, religious thought practice done only by those not competent to work on the leading scientific belief. I was wrong — I quickly found that science in fact proves nothing at all, science is our weakness.

Throughout history, scientific discovery has been a bargain of risk, funding, claim and bounty; many fields of science are even today labeled as “hobbies” with no practical use (until a discovery shakes this belief). So what is philosophy then?

Philosophy is a way to make sense of what we do not understand, yes, but it stems off from our core individuality in that the only true knowledge we possess is ourselves— I know that I think as I visualize ideas, but anything beyond this, even the senses, could simply be a creation of my own imagination, therefore we never can know what truly is, but only what might be truth.

When I started writing my science fiction series, I started composing, programming, 3D modelling, and most importantly, imagining. I imagined everything, I could create landscapes, details, maps, people in my mind from things I had seen or from nothing at all. This is how I knew I was different.

Whoever reads this in the future in wonder of my past, I assure you that imagining is safe, learning about our universe is too, but there is a point where obsession kicks in, where you have to stop and wonder at everything about what actually exists, what matters? What defines what matters? There are some questions in our universe that are just not meant to be asked.

So I leave you off with a warning: If you would like a taste of this curse, before it is too late, ponder the question that will break your concept of this entire document, a question, never meant to be asked—

#1. What is a question?

Sure it may be a statement of language attempting to find explanation for a certain idea or concept, but more than that further, where does it translate to an idea or concept? What defines this, is it ourselves, creating language and communication? Therefore we must exist for a question to exist, as without language, there is no question, without us, there is no language. We are the question, the question is us.

A step into this realm of philosophy will eliminate your ability to relate to others; it locks you away.

“This whole thing has taken its toll on me … I fight, I struggle, I see what I think I must do. I sacrifice for what my life is … but I am not sure if I should continue my ventures or not. I need to have a life outside of my current one … If they are amazed, inspired, I recommend they run. Do not ever try do do what I have done. I see now where the others have gone wrong but what I cannot see is where I will.”

Do not ever do what I have done —

Do better.

From the stars above,

Your ancestor,

“Avieasolia Kiravaene”
