For Those I Lost
There is no way to recollect.
There is no remembrance,
whether sad or happy.
I wish I could peer
into those I lost once more.
I wish I might remember him just once.
He came into my life but once,
like the sun peers into the day for a short while.
He is gone,
forbidden to awake from his sleep until the appointed time.
Into sleep he has gone,
I will continue to chase those I lost,
helplessly and hopelessly.
Just as the sea never becomes still,
I will never stop trying to find them.
