Those moments

these are moments of mesmeric tranquility

of emotions long forgotten

of a quick kiss from a lovers lips

of a passion so pure my heart beat with a fervor when you whispered in my ear

with every touch,

with every kiss,

I became lost in you,

the world faded away, until all that was left was you and I.

we embraced as lovers do and you etched poetry across my skin with your fingertips.

I want to be lost in you

I want to capture this moment

a moment that became a memory

a memory I will relive with you

when your lips brush against mine.

and we find ourselves entangled in the sweet comfort of each other.

because life can be a desolate place

a place of anger, pain, and injustice

life will bring you to your knees and drive you to the tip of insanity.

when that happens

when you are broken,

when you are bleeding on the floor

let your last thoughts be of that moment

when you created a song in me

when I brought out the passion in you

when we wrote poetry with our fingertips across each other's skin.
