Those Nights

Let's talk about those nights
The ones where you don't sleep
You're laying there by yourself
And your mind just thinks so deep

Let's talk about those nights
The ones you don't remember
Cause you've been doing the same damn thing
every day since mid September

Or we'll talk about those nights
Thinking about your biggest secret
And how you'll do whatever the
hell it takes just to fucking keep it

Or how about those nights
When you mend a broken heart
You lie lonesome, on the verge
Saying "how did this all start"
And you say "stop it, make it end"
"Why is this heart so hard to mend?"
And all you need is a hand to hold
Someone to call your friend

But then there is those nights
When life is just a blur
And the amount of happiness you feel
Oh It is just absurd

Let's talk about those nights
Where the stars dance with the moon
You've been on the road all day
And you know you'll be there soon

The nights when the parties pumpin
And everything is all good
You don't ask any questions
Cause life is doing what it should

Don't stop smiling, make your mark
This is the night that it all starts
The beginning of forever
You're number one, atop the charts

So let's talk about those nights.
The good ones and the bad.
Cause whenever it is said and done
These will be the best nights you ever had.
