those nights

those long nights by the lake
those beautiful blue eyes
they were almost as bright as mine you would tell me
those shimmering stars
glowing like the way my necklace did in your hands
the way you would run your hands through your hair
it reminded me of something i missed
something i wanted
something i craved
something special
i cried over those nights
i cried and cried for the day those nights would come back
those nights riding our bikes through the town
those nights watching the sunset
those nights sitting by the lake
those nights carving our names into the tree just for it to soon be withered and covered with moss
those nights never came back
i miss those nights
so long ago
i miss those memories
but i dont miss you.
