Those Scars

It's been years,

and I'm tired of erasing all these tears.

How am I supposed to tell you how I feel

when all my thoughts are kept sealed.

The end seems near,

but for some reason that isn't my biggest fear...

My voice feels so thin

that I know I will never win.

I won't waste this reader's time

...but to me this simply isn't a rhyme.
