Those Three Words

Three simple words I must let out.

I know that I haven’t said it as often as I should.

Am I good enough? I have so much doubt.

Going the distance? I don’t know that I could.

From dawn ‘till dusk; from day to night.

When I cannot stand and when I face my biggest fear.

She will always be my shining light.

The choice that was uncertain now seems so clear.

Those three simple words slip off the tip of my tongue,

She knows that I mean it, she knows that its true.

The time we get to share together has just begun.

The seed that was planted, the affection that grew.

In sicknesses and in health we shall never part,

For, indeed, I love you with all of my heart.
