Those Times

Sometimes we go through tough times To expose peoples true sides Sometimes we go through calamity To bring together two or three to love and forgive To inspire and change And move past the here and now And not ask How But believe you are not alone Just passing through, on your way home, Together the barrier broke True hearts exposed True loves heart arose In the atmosphere of broken hearts But dreams met And freedom starts . Its not about the color on the outside But the condition of the heart Better to be humble and unappealing Than to be beautiful and rotting on the inside Its what is unseen that is most worthy Than seen and decieved

Just a poem I wrote about the people who went throught the civil rights movement and during martin luther king jr was alive.
