To Those Who Think They Know Me

If tomorrow comes too soon

And my world goes black

I will do nothing but slowly fade

And the words I never spoke will be trapped

If my time comes too quickly

Will I be anything other than

"the young girl that could've done anything"

Would I inspire you to cure the world

Or would I just be a painful memory

Just another tragedy, gone and buried

One more winner of life's sick game

All I ask is that you remember me,

Everything you loved, all that you didn't

-not the girl they put in my eulogy

I'm no saint, and probably a shabby Christian

but I'm doing what I think is right

figuring out who I am

And trying to light a small light

It's flickering, and will be fleeting

But maybe you'll remember me one day

Long after we're done

and parted ways
