Though I be not there.

Though I be not there,
in that garden of beauty
where time stands still,

In the here and now,
I strive for such perfection
That my children’s children may
Heaven itself on Earth see.

Though I be not there,
I wish to be in nature,
and in happiness.

In the here and now
we struggle always upward,
ever short of Eden.

But my dearest,
Though I be not there,
In the here and now,
with You,
Eden shall ever be.

Very charming piece you have written. I like the identification of love and the perfect garden (wherever that may be). Q.V.
