a thought

a thought cannot be cultivated.

if, it is not planted first

in the mind - which, unsedated,

remains awake with conscious thirst.

a thought cannot grow or sprout

if, the mind does not quench it

when it thirsts, and throughout

its young life, guides it.

a thought cannot become a dream

if, any external stone inhibits

its flow to a river from stream

then backward up the stream spits.
