The Thought Counts

The politician sits in the chair.

A scientist works at a lab.

The doctor examines a patient's history.

The housekeeper cleans.

The secretary answers the phone.

What gender are they?

What color?

What ethnicity?

Not everyone realizes the way they think.

Not everyone thinks their thoughts matter.

They do.

Slowly getting used to seeing a certain group in a certain position

People become weary if the norm differs.

They may not even realize that they judge the woman politician harsher,

The black scientist with more criticism,

The asian with more amusement.

The thought counts.
