Romans 12:2  New English Translation

2 Do not be conformed to this present world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may test and approve what is the will of God—what is good and well-pleasing and perfect.

Galatians 5:16            New English Translation

16 But I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desires of the flesh.

Mind and spirit are both needed to complete a Christian walk

Otherwise, my brethren, there is an unbalanced life

Effectiveness rests on them both to glorify God in our thinking

As we walk in such accordingly, in a life enhanced in Christ

If I control my mind, why can I not control it all the time?

If neither God nor I am regulating my disorganized mental capacity

Who then is in control and will direct my unrestrained state of mind?

Are they not the powers of darkness that influence a sense of reality?

Is it God’s intention for a man to completely control himself?

A man possesses a “free” will, but does man has the authority?

To regulate and fill the natural endowment being a dried-up well

Just because in creation, he thinks to have unlimited seniority?

Mental processes should be subject to the power of “his” will

A Christian ought to inquire where his thoughts originate

Is I, who I am, thinking, or is it another spirit an overkill?

The one, who can work in my mind, reality to integrate?

Are not often thoughts in my head opposite and against my will?

Then the thoughts cannot be really mine, or maybe I pretend to be

But then if they are not really mine, but rather of a source to kill

The emanation to preclude the ability to blind me to be “free.”

Origination of ideas with activation in my mind

Each thought that man chooses not to think

Opposition to man’s "will" influence from the outside

In the eyes of choice, as the mind grasps certain things

When thoughts go on the rampage out of the will’s control

It seems to be impossible for the brain to stop the sequence

As an outside force controls it and is impossible to resist

It must be an evil spirit that’s is at work on your disobedience

Ephesians 2:1-2         New English Translation

New Life Individually

2 And although you were dead in your offenses and sins,2 in which you formerly lived according to this world’s present path, according to the ruler of the domain of the air, the ruler of the spirit that is now energizing the sons of disobedience …
