The Thought Of You

My love lingers in anticipation at the thought of you. I turn away seeking a place of refuge. I fail to discover because you're still present. I can't handle this, I'm so used to those who stay without paying any rent. Providing assistance to takers as a result of only being a giver. Mentally damaged, so I can't accept what you have to deliver. You're all I desire and have all that I require. Why are you still here when I've pushed you so far away? Why are you proving to me that you want to stay? You can't possibly live me the way that I love you. You're the reason my heart stays true. Do you know how it feels when I hear your name? My cheeks hurt from smiling because I've never felt this way. When you hug me, my spirit shifts. It's like praying to Heaven as my eyes lift. But I'm Doing my best to swallow the way my heart feels. There are so many extras, I'm forcing myself to yield. If you weren't so amazing, it'd be effortless. My options and yours are becoming a big mess. You love me but your mind is naive to what I am for your heart. And I can't control mine, on their own is how they start. Possibly, you aren't the one that's meant to love me. Although in my soul, you're all I can see. As I smile, the tears are hard to subdue. My love lingers in anticipation at the thought of you.
