Thoughts

Food, water, shelter,

The basic things that are necessary to life.

We understand that without these things,

We cannot possibly continue to live.

However,

The ability to foster your own thoughts,

That is what really intrigues me.

For this world is not a world I want to be in

If the sheer possession of my ideas are taken away from me.

Being an individual.

That is what makes life

truly worth living.

Because someone,

Gave us the capability

And the power

To think and to be free in our thoughts.

Without this we are simply animals,

Barbaric and unnecessary.

Everything worth celebrating has come from

An individual and their power to think.

We must not waste this gift.

We must cherish this.

For I cannot live without it.
