Thoughts

Poetry, a concept that entails so much potency,

I can hide behind this pen and this paper and nobody will ever know it's me,

I assume that's a good thing as I use this as an outlet for my problems,

Because sometimes problems become so huge it seems that God himself can't even solve them,

So poetry has taught me how to cope,

Not to forget, but to cope,

With troubles that are so heavy they often seem to be sinking my boat,

While listening to my favorite poets from day to day,

They have helped me to realize that it's okay,

Okay for my thoughts to be out of the norm,

And I'll continue to write these thoughts down when I'm in my college dorm,

I have to, writing takes me on a some kind of spiritual journey,

No matter what anybody says or does they could never turn me,

Back into a being with no feelings or motivation,

No dedication,

I've reached liberation,

No more sleep deprivation,

So as far as poetry and what it has taught me?

It's weird to say this but poetry has taught me to plainly be me.
