Thoughts

Thoughts . . .

Happiness . . .

who defines it?

Money . . .

who makes it?

Love, Joy, Pain . . .

who has it?

Freedom . . .

who said we were really free?

Happiness doesn’t come from just smiling.

No! A smile can cover up thousands of tears,

having Money doesn’t mean you’re impoverished,

poverty can live inside of you.

Love, Joy, Pain all contradict one another.

That doesn’t mean you can’t feel all three.

Being able to walk around without shackles on your hands and feet is considered Freedom?

IM CHAINED DOWN ON THE INSIDE!

Chains on my heart.

Chains on my mind.

Chains on my soul.

Chains on my lips.

Chains on my Dreams.

Chains on MY Happiness!

I’m really not free,

nor can I be happy.

My Dreams give me life; they allow me to go on . . .

My Dreams,

THEY give me REAL happiness . . .

and who are you to try to take that away from me?

Sunday to Sunday . . .

Everyday is a different day.

Each day with its own challenge, its own failure.

You fall asleep and wake back up and do it all over again,

But today wasn’t like yesterday.

Tomorrow won’t be like today.

Today’s failure is tomorrow’s accomplishment.

Yesterday’s dream is last week’s nightmare and today’s reality.

Does the world ever stop turning?

Do dreams ever come true?

Where do yesterday’s dreams go?

Yesterday is not to be dwelled on.

Today is today, not tomorrow or the day before.

You can’t change the past or future.

Reenacting the past is fine but it won’t actually happen again.

You can’t predict the future, but know . . .

Today is today.
