Thoughts

To put your thoughts on paper

Is harder to do then most people think

You catch a train of thought

And then it turns into something else

Something even more random

You could be thinking of a song

And then be thinking of that paper due Monday

Thoughts are confusing and messy

If anyone were to document their thoughts

It would be a tangle of webs that overlap

Going in opposite directions

Somehow meeting up again at a different intersection

How this is possible

I do not know

But the brain has mischievous way

Trying to tell you something you don’t know yet

So how do thoughts work?

How does the brain work?

These are the questions that only time can tell
