Thoughts of a Graduate

Senior year, GRADUATION! Its taking forever, Day after day, week after week Month after month, year after year It is getting closer, I can almost taste it Just a few more months, weeks, DAYS Applications left and right, Acceptance here and there Decisions, Decisions Projects, Projects Essays, Essays When will it end?! Finally May, almost there.. Sweaty palms, nervous, tension What to wear? Who to invite? Who to party with? Cookout maybe? I will only get this day once in life, All my friends will be there.. Those annoying teachers also.. But, I feel a tear arising.. Then several more.. I may never see these kids again Maybe I wasn't as ready, as I thought I was Can I grow up now? So soon, so fast? No choice now, my name is called Tassel moved, tears falling, Cap, Gown, heels and all This old high school, no more Am I ready?
