Thoughts Of Lost Dreams

Slowly what once was a container for happiness and joy
Has become but another sack of skin and bones trudging on
The imagination is leaving at the door of maturity
Sadness, Frustration and Fear are waiting on the other side
Life’s colours become a monochromatic imprint of what could’ve been
The dreams which carried each day are being drowned out by
The nightmares of societies inequities and injustices

And somewhere on a planet and time spaced out inumerable light years away
There must be some being who has fully realized the dreams we could not.
