Thoughts of the old

What is a memory forgotten?

Not one in which I can say, unfortunately

But could it possibly be one that is simply written?

Or one that is just spoken softly?

It's hard to say, but…

Whatever it may be

I can only hope that when remembered

It comforts me

Like a warm summer breeze in my mind, harbored

And forever sweeps me off to that far off place

Where your smile lingers

I pray for the day that I remember your face

And remember the touch of your fingers

I wish these memories were not forgotten…

But, Oh well…

It’s not like I can remember anyways...
