thoughts that ravage
To the deceit within,
I had a dream disturbing my mind,
in the waking hours of the day.
It made me sad
And I cried while it fooled around in my head
Once when the moon was blue,
and on the 34th of every month,
the dream left in me alone
But, still the daydream could fade
fast as a parched rose
or as quickly as a three-legged turtle
Only it was always sure to leave a gift
wrapped up tight in my brain
The gift was denial the dream had ever been
denial the dream was even real
and my brain felt red anger at it's own stupidity
Denial, and burning anger
My brain believed I was a fraud
And who needed to fix a fraud?
Frauds crave attention,
They don't need help
And so my dream lived on
my dream lives on
