Thoughts Run Wild
You left me on the couch,
mind wandering.
Wondering...
If somewhere
beneath that smile,
behind those eyes,
your mind had found words
that your lips turned to lies.
Your hands felt my body,
naked you held me.
Bare boned, withheld
all the thoughts that impelled me.
But you kept me from drowning
with your lips on my hips.
Tempered the pain
with a weed stained kiss.
A taste on my tongue
I'd never give favor,
but in this moment with you
my heart seemed to savor...
