thoughts of sky
The sky. It's wide and seems infinite. When you look up the sky, complex formation of clouds come together to form unique creations. The sun shines and illuminates through the delicate clouds making it glow. When you look up the sky as sense of hope, peace, and security is felt by the heart. Once you're in that place, you see a glimpse of what Heaven is like. It's a place where there is "no weeping, no hurt or pain, no suffering, no darkness, no sick or lame." It's a beautiful place where our Father is enthroned. The sky to me is like God. He is above all, above everything, above all creations. He is everlasting and reaches to the ends of the Earth. His love for us is like the sun. He takes us just the way we are, an imperfect being, and makes us glow. Just as the clouds, our lives are complicated and confusing. When you look at the clouds you aren't very sure of what it is, yet you find it intriguing and beautiful in its own natural being. God takes us just as we are and looks beyond our complexity and focuses on our hearts. There, he sees a beautiful creation in which he made and formed. He is a God who turns a beautiful mess into a masterpiece. I am blessed because he loves me for me. His relentless love towards us allows us to experience what Heaven is like. Through God, our weeping, hurt, pain, suffering, darkness, sickness, and lameness is taken away. He does this by continuing to show us his unfailing love, mercy, and grace. Through our darkest days, He was there. Through the times we didn't trust him, he was there. Through the times, we took his love for granted, he was there. Through the times we needed someone to understand, he was there. He was able to make a way through everything and make it well. He continues to pursue us even in our worst, because he sees a beautiful being. He created us and knows us very well. He knows that we aren't perfect and will always fall short, but that is why he there, to take control of what we can't control. Our dependency and trust in him defines our faith in him. He wants us to seek him through our dark times, because he wants us to be nothing but happy. When we seek answers, we find it in him alone. Our focus is no longer in the situation but rather the problem solver, God. In that darkest and lowest point in your life, you feel him, you feel his love, his mercy, his grace. Through that, our relationship with God grows deeper and deeper, because we continue to understand what kind of father he is. He takes our complexity, flaws, sinful self and turns us into a masterpeice. Just as the clouds on the sky, he makes us beautiful in our own way, in our own being, despite the beautiful mess we are.
