Thoughts Thought in the Dark

I find dim lights the most bright,

They dont eradicate the darkness

They just provide a safe way through the night

They fly me home by the stars

above the trains and above the cars,

their luminosity is a special curiosity

Weary yet burning ferociously

I still seek them in a world telling to me to let go.

Because we are told to never look directly at the light,

it blinds

To turn away from things that are bright,

golden skies

But the stars may be gazed,

beauty unfazed

For the rays refuse to be quieted by the gentle night.
