Thoughts Within

Screams sound from my inner thoughts

My stomach cries creating knots

As I look around I realize hell has arisen

I have managed to create my own prison

Time passes without acknowledgement

Why is this my punishment?

What have I done to deserve this?

Moments deceive not letting me reminisce

Sorrow covers me whole

My heart turned to coal

I no longer live

Help me escape and thrive

He was once my lover

I’m wounded and I cannot recover

Death took part of me

And this is only the first degree
